Huzefa Lokhandwala
Biography
Huzefa Lokhandwala is an Indian visual effects (VFX) artist and film editor known for his extensive work in Bollywood. He began his career as a VFX artist and made his film debut with Om Jai Jagadish (2002). Over the next few years, he contributed to several notable films, including Bhoot (2003), Gayab (2004), Mr. Ya Miss (2005), and Taxi No. 9211 (2006), establishing himself as a skilled technician in the industry.
Alongside his achievements in VFX, Huzefa ventured into film editing. He made his debut as an editor with the short film Freedom of Life (2005), followed by his work on the popular TV mini-series Hanuman (2005). His first major feature film as an editor was the cult comedy Delhi Belly (2011), which earned widespread appreciation for its crisp and energetic editing style. He later edited other notable projects, such as Raabta (2017), directed by Dinesh Vijan.
In 2018, Huzefa edited Shyamprasad’s Bollywood comedy-thriller Blackmail, featuring Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari in lead roles. He continued his work in mainstream cinema with Arjun Patiala (2019). Over the years, he has built a reputation as a versatile professional who excels both as a VFX artist and a film editor, contributing significantly to modern Indian filmmaking.
