Imam-ul-Haq, born on December 22, 1995, in Lahore, Pakistan, is a prominent left-handed opening batsman for the Pakistan national cricket team. He is the nephew of former Pakistani cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, which has significantly influenced his cricketing journey.

 

 

Early Life and Domestic Career

Imam's cricketing journey began in Lahore, where he was immersed in the sport from a young age, largely due to his family's strong cricketing background. He made his first-class debut in the 2014-15 season of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, representing Lahore. His domestic career highlights include a remarkable score of 200 not out for Habib Bank Limited in the 2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final and a crucial innings of 59 not out for Lahore Blues in the 2017–18 National T20 Cup final.

 

 

International Debut and Achievements

Imam made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Sri Lanka on October 18, 2017. In this match, he scored a century, becoming the second Pakistani and the thirteenth batsman overall to achieve a century on ODI debut.

 

This impressive start cemented his place in the national team.

 

In August 2018, Imam was among the 33 players awarded a central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2018–19 season, reflecting his rising prominence in the team.
