Biography

Ishq Bector is an Indo-Canadian composer, music producer, singer, songwriter, actor, director, and hip-hop artist known for his dynamic contributions to both Indian and international music. He gained widespread recognition with the hit song Aye Hip-Hopper, a collaboration with Sunidhi Chauhan, and has since composed and featured in tracks like Har Gham Mein Khushi Hai from the Bollywood film Gully Boy.

Over his career, Ishq has released full-length albums, worked on corporate campaigns for Amazon, Netflix, Flipkart, and McDowells, composed background scores, and contributed to numerous Bollywood tracks. He has appeared in music videos such as Karle Gunna (Ugly Aur Pagli) and Harry’s Not a Brahmachari (Shaadi Ke Side Effects).

Managed by Qyuki Digital Media, founded by AR Rahman, Shekhar Kapur, and Samir Bangara, Ishq also dedicates its time to social initiatives. He collaborates with the “After School of Hip-Hop” in Mumbai’s Dharavi slums, helping underprivileged children develop musical talent. He directed the music video Naach Na Shaane for the students, which received widespread acclaim.

As a composer, Ishq has created notable songs, including Ranbir Kapoor’s Besharam title track and Fukrey Returns. He has also produced background scores for Zee5’s 377 - Abh Normal, AR Rahman and Shah Rukh Khan’s ARRived YouTube Originals singing reality series, and the horror series Shockers on Hotstar. Known for blending hip-hop with Indian musical elements, Ishq Bector continues to influence the independent music scene and inspire emerging artists.
