Ivanna Sakhno is a dynamic Ukrainian and American actress and producer who has quickly garnered attention for her impactful roles in both major Hollywood productions and independent films. Born on November 14, 1997, in Kyiv, Ukraine, Sakhno has made a significant transition from her early work in Ukrainian cinema to becoming a recognizable face on the international stage.

 

 

Early Life and Career Beginnings:

Sakhno's upbringing was steeped in the world of cinema, as her parents, director Halyna Kuvivchak-Sakhno and cinematographer Anatolii Sakhno, were involved in the industry. She had her first role at the age of six in the Ukrainian sitcom Lesia + Roma (2005). Her dream of pursuing acting in the English-speaking world was ignited after watching the film Amélie.

 

 

At 13, she moved to Vancouver, Canada, to study English, where she was discovered at a casting workshop. This led her to move to the United States in 2013, settling in Hollywood to further her acting career. She studied at Beverly Hills High School and later at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, working with Ivana Chubbuck.

 

 

 

Breakthrough in Hollywood and Notable Roles:

Sakhno's first major Hollywood role was in the 2016 thriller The Body Tree.
