Ivyann Schwan is an American former child actress and singer who became known for her roles in the films Parenthood and Problem Child 2. Born on November 14, 1983, in Seattle, Washington, she entered the entertainment industry at a young age and worked in film, television, theatre, and music.

 

 

Early Life

Schwan began performing as a child and developed an interest in acting, singing, and stage performances. Her mother, Donna, managed her career during her childhood years. Schwan appeared in stage productions including The Sound of Music and Miracle on 34th Street, gaining experience as a young performer.

 

 

Acting Career

Schwan made her film debut in Ron Howard's Parenthood in 1989, where she played Patty Huffner. The film featured an ensemble cast and gave Schwan an early opportunity to work in a major Hollywood production.

 

 

She later reprised her character, Patty Merrick, in the television adaptation of Parenthood, which ran from 1990 to 1991. She appeared in 12 episodes of the series.

Her best-known film role came in 1991, when she played Trixie Young in the comedy Problem Child 2. The role helped establish her as a recognizable child performer of the early 1990s.
