Jai Ganesh
Biography
Jai Ganesh (1946 – 12 February 2001) was an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil theatre and cinema. Born as Aarumugam, the sixth son of Kuppusamy and Chellamma, he began his film career as a child artiste in classics such as Sampoorna Ramayanam and Missiamma.
He was later reintroduced to films by director K. Balachander through Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, after which he went on to play a wide range of roles as a lead actor, character artist, and villain. He became especially popular for his supporting and negative roles in films like Thaayillamal Naan Illai (1979) and Athisaya Piravi (1990).
During the 1970s, Jai Ganesh appeared in notable films including Neeya, Pilot Premnath, Vattathukkul Sathuram, Vanakathukuriya Kathaliyae, and Azhage Unnai Aradhikkiren.
He passed away from cancer on 12 February 2001 at the age of 54, leaving behind a respected legacy in Tamil cinema.
