Biography
Jallo Faber is a Swedish cinematographer and director of photography known for his visually striking work in films, television, and commercial productions. Born as Jalmari Jon Felix “Jallo” Faber on January 13, 1971, in Uppsala, Sweden, he developed a strong interest in visual storytelling and camera work from an early age. Over the years, he has become recognized for creating atmospheric imagery and cinematic depth across different genres.
Faber began his career working in the camera and photography departments before moving into cinematography. His technical skills and creative eye helped him build a reputation within Scandinavian cinema and later in international productions. He has worked on feature films, television series, music videos, and major advertising campaigns, collaborating with several well-known filmmakers and production companies.
Among his notable works are Pioneer (2013), Gentlemen (2014), Cadaver (2020), and Troll (2022). In Cadaver, directed by Jarand Herdal, Jallo Faber served as the cinematographer, helping shape the film’s dark and unsettling visual atmosphere. He has also contributed to major international productions such as Spectre and Tenet through camera and additional photography work.
