James Earl Jones

Biography

James Earl Jones is an American actor who made his acting debut with the movie, Dr. Strange Love. His career has spanned more than six decades, and he has been described as "one of America`s most distinguished and versatile" actors and "one of the greatest actors in American history". The actor is also known for lending his voice to the Star Wars movie series. James has also won two Emmys, two Grammys, two Tonys, and a Golden Globe award.

James Earl Jones has been said to possess "one of the best-known voices in show business, a stirring basso profondo that has lent gravel and gravitas" to his projects, including live-action acting, voice acting, and commercial voice-overs. Jones has also received the Voice Arts Icon Award for his contribution to various films.

Jones is best known as the voice of Darth Vader in the 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope and its sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). His recent project includes the film The Lion King.
