Jamie Cairney
Biography
Jamie Cairney is a British cinematographer and director of photography known for his work in television and film. He has built a diverse career across comedy, drama, documentary, and feature productions.
Cairney served as director of photography on the first two seasons of the acclaimed comedy-drama series Flowers (2016–2018), directed by Will Sharpe.
He later became one of the principal cinematographers on Netflix's Sex Education, working as director of photography on 13 episodes across its first three seasons.
His other notable credits include Detectorists, Vera, Endeavour, Kiss Me First, Criminal: UK, Death to 2020, Death to 2021, Gossip Girl, Doctor Who, Get Gotti, and the feature film Joy (2024).
Through his work across television, film, and documentary projects, Cairney has established himself as an experienced British director of photography with a versatile visual style.
