Biography
Jamie Clayton is an American actress and model, born on 15 January 1978 in San Diego, California. She initially moved to New York at 19 to pursue a career as a makeup artist and later became a co-host and makeup artist on VH1's reality series TRANSform Me (2010).
Clayton began acting with a recurring role as Kyla on HBO's Hung (2011), followed by the lead role of Michelle in the Emmy-winning digital series Dirty Work (2012).
Her breakthrough came with Netflix's science-fiction series Sense8 (2015–2018), in which she played Nomi Marks, a San Francisco-based hacker and political blogger who is one of eight people mysteriously connected across the world. She later appeared in The Neon Demon (2016), The Snowman (2017), and Designated Survivor (2019).
Clayton also starred as Tess Van De Berg in The L Word: Generation Q (2019–2023). In 2022, she took on the iconic horror role of The Priest/Pinhead in Hellraiser. Her other work includes Roswell, New Mexico, and the animated series Twilight of the Gods.
Clayton has become particularly recognized for her work in science fiction, horror, and LGBTQ+ television, with Sense8 and Hellraiser among her best-known projects.
