Jang Young Chul
Biography
Young Chul Jang is known for Giant (2010), Big Mouth (2022), and Vagabond (2019).
Jang Young Chul is a South Korean television screenwriter. He is best known for writing the hit dramas Giant and History of a Salaryman. Jang graduated from Chungbuk National University with a degree in Korean Language and Literature.
In 1994, he won the KBS Drama Script Contest for "Father's House", followed by another win in 1995 at the newspaper Seoul Shinmun's New Year Literary Contest for his script "A Room With a View". After winning a 1996 contest, Jang's script "Golden Garden" was produced as the Best Theater episode on MBC.
He is married to screenwriter Jung Kyung Soon, who is also his writing partner.
