Biography

Jang Young Hwan is known for Parasite (2019).

 

Jang Young-hwan is a Korean film producer. Their early works include The Front Line (2011), The Concubine (2012), and An Ethics Lesson (2013) . They later produced Fabricated City (2017) and the political thriller 1987: When the Day Comes (2017) about student protests, which won many Korean film awards and was nominated for the inaugural Best Asian Film award at the AACTA Awards.

 

 In 2019, they produced Parasite which was awarded the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. They received their first APSA nomination for Best Feature Film.
