Biography

Jason Watkins was born on October 28, 1966, in Albrighton, Shropshire, England, UK. He is an actor, known for The Crown (2016), Des (2020), and The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies (2014)

 

He has been married to Clara Francis since January 2014. They have three children. He was previously married to Caroline Harding.

 

Has acted in both the Doctor Who franchise and Eon James Bond franchise.

 

He can walk on his hands and has done so every week since a young man. At his wedding, during the reception, he walked with his new wife in his hands with a rose between his toes that his son put there.

 

He was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2001 (2000 season) for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "A Servant for Two Masters" at the Young Vic and New Ambassadors Theatre.

Trained at RADA.

 

Can be seen in "Landscape and Weapon" at the Cottesloe Theatre on the South Bank, London, United Kingdom - opposite Tom Hollander (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Hippies (1999) etc) and Pippa Haywood (Green Wing (2004)).

 

 

Lost his daughter Maude at the age of two to sepsis during a winter 'flu outbreak in 2010/11.
