Jasraj Singh Bhatti is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur, known for his involvement in various aspects of the entertainment industry. Born in Chandigarh, he is the son of the late comedian and actor Jaspal Bhatti and actress Savita Bhatti. 

 

He pursued his schooling at St. John's High School in Chandigarh and later graduated from D.A.V. College. Jasraj also holds a post-graduate diploma in Advertising & Public Relations from Punjab University's Department of Mass Communication.

 

Jasraj has made notable contributions in television direction, advertising, and filmmaking. As a versatile artist, he has also been involved in cartooning and has received recognition for his illustrations, even winning a gold medal in cartooning from Punjab University. Beyond his creative pursuits, he is the Managing Director and CEO of Mad Arts, the Jaspal Bhatti Film School, which is a prominent film school in North India.

 

Jasraj's film career took off with his Punjabi film debut, Power Cut, in 2012, where he not only acted but also contributed to the film's direction and publicity. The movie earned him recognition in the Punjab Music & Film Awards, where he won Best Debut Actor (Male). Jasraj has also earned accolades for his work in TV commercials and corporate films, further establishing his reputation as a creative force in the media industry.

 

In his personal life, Jasraj married actress Surilie Gautam in 2013, who is the sister of Bollywood actress Yami Gautam. Tragically, Jasraj’s father and sister passed away in a car accident in 2012, a loss that deeply impacted him. Despite these challenges, Jasraj has continued to build on his father's legacy and contribute to Indian cinema.
