Biography
Jassie Gift is an Indian playback singer, music composer, and music producer who works mainly in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu cinema. Born on 27 November 1975 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, he began his career in the early 2000s.
He rose to fame with the song “Lajjavathiye” from 4 the People (2004), which became a major hit and helped popularise rap and hip-hop influences in Malayalam film music. He later composed music for films such as Hudugaata, Sanju Weds Geetha, Myna, and Shanthamee Raathriyil.
Gift has received several honours for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Kannada for Sanju Weds Geetha (2011).
