Career
Jeremy Allen White began his professional acting career in the mid-2000s, appearing in guest roles on television series such as Conviction (2006) and Law & Order (2007). However, his breakthrough came when he was cast as Phillip “Lip” Gallagher in the acclaimed Showtime series Shameless (2011–2021).
White’s portrayal of Lip — a brilliant yet self-destructive young man navigating poverty, addiction, and family chaos — earned widespread praise for its honesty, complexity, and emotional depth. Over the show’s 11 seasons, he became one of its central figures, defining much of its gritty authenticity.

For this role, he won the Golden Globe Award, Critics’ Choice Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series.
