Biography
Jeremy Clarkson is an English television presenter, journalist, writer, and farmer, born on April 11, 1960, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. He attended Repton School but was expelled before completing his A-levels. He later trained as a journalist with the Rotherham Advertiser and worked for several regional newspapers before establishing himself as a motoring journalist.
In 1984, Clarkson co-founded the Motoring Press Agency with journalist Jonathan Gill, producing road tests for newspapers and automotive magazines. His work eventually led to television, and he became a presenter of Top Gear, where his outspoken personality, distinctive humour, and passion for cars helped make the programme an international success.
After leaving the BBC in 2015, Clarkson continued his television career with The Grand Tour, alongside Richard Hammond and James May. He later became the star of Clarkson's Farm, a documentary series following his often chaotic attempt to operate a farm in the Cotswolds. He has also continued writing newspaper columns and books, particularly about motoring.
Known for his provocative humour, exaggerated storytelling, and larger-than-life personality, Clarkson has become one of Britain's best-known television personalities, with a career spanning journalism, motoring, entertainment, and farming.
