Biography
Jesse Eden Metcalfe (born December 9, 1978) is an American actor. He is known for his portrayal of John Rowland on Desperate Housewives. Metcalfe has also had notable roles in Passions and played the title role in John Tucker Must Die.
He starred as Christopher Ewing in the TNT continuation of Dallas, based on the 1978 series of the same name. From 2016 to 2021, Metcalfe starred as Trace Riley in Hallmark Channel's hit series Chesapeake Shores.
In January 2020, Metcalfe began starring in the Martha's Vineyard Mysteries series on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel as retired Boston detective Jeff Jackson. On September 2, 2020, Metcalfe was announced as one of the celebrities competing in the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars.
He finished 12th place alongside his partner Sharna Burgess. In 2022, Metcalfe appeared in the second series of the British version of The Masked Dancer as "Astronaut".
