Jesse Tyler Ferguson is an American actor, born on October 22, 1975, in Missoula, Montana. He developed an interest in acting at an early age and built a successful career in television, film, and theater. He made his Broadway debut at 21 in On the Town and later gained recognition for his stage work, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Ferguson became widely famous for playing Mitchell Pritchett on the hit sitcom Modern Family (2009–2020). His performance earned him five consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series from 2010 to 2014.
He has also appeared in projects such as The Class, Ugly Betty, Wonderful World, and Cocaine Bear. His theater career remained an important part of his work, and he won a Tony Award in 2022 for his performance in the Broadway play Take Me Out.
