Biography

Jibin Gopinath is an Indian Malayalam actor and Kerala Police officer who has gradually established himself through supporting and character roles in Malayalam cinema. He gained attention for appearing in films such as Minnal Murali (2021), Cold Case (2021), 2018: Everyone Is a Hero (2023), Falimy (2023), Vaazha (2024), and Kishkindha Kaandam (2024).

Jibin's connection with cinema began at a young age, but he continued his professional career in the Kerala Police. He also appeared in public-awareness videos during the COVID-19 pandemic and featured in advertisements, including one alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

He received considerably more recognition for his performance in Dies Irae (2025), the psychological horror film directed by Rahul Sadasivan and starring Pranav Mohanlal. Jibin played Madhusoodanan Potti (Madhu), a significant character whose presence becomes central to the film's unsettling narrative. His performance was widely noted as a breakthrough in his acting career.

Jibin also appeared in Kalamkaval (2025) alongside Mammootty, further expanding his presence in Malayalam cinema. He has spoken about balancing his police career with his passion for acting and taking leave from his government service to pursue cinema more actively.

His filmography also includes Oru Kattil Oru Muri (2024), in which he played Patti Gunda.
