Biography

Born into a Punjabi family in Delhi, Jividha Sharma began her acting career in the late 1990s. She made her debut in the Tamil film Kaadhale Nimmadhi in 1998, a romance film where she played a key role. The following year, she appeared in Subhash Ghai's Taal (1999), a musical drama, in a supporting role, which helped her gain some attention in the industry.

However, Sharma’s breakthrough came with Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa (2002), directed by Kuku Kohli. She starred as Pooja Verma, a terrorist's sister, opposite Karan Nath. The film became a massive success, and Sharma's performance was widely appreciated. Rediff.com’s reviewer praised her acting, calling her performance commendable.

In the same year, she also made her debut in Telugu cinema with Yuva Rathna. Though her performance was criticized as "lifeless" by some reviewers, it marked her entry into South Indian films. Unfortunately, the movie did not achieve significant success. Additionally, a Hindi film Sila, where she was supposed to play the lead role, was announced but was never completed.

These films helped cement her presence in the Punjabi film industry.
