Joachim Horsley
Biography
Joachim Horsley is a composer, pianist, and arranger known for his work across film, television, and live music. He composed music for the HBO Max series The Gordita Chronicles and the Disney Channel animated series Big City Greens, and scored the Warner Bros. animated film Batman: Soul of the Dragon.
In 2019, Horsley released Via Havana, an acclaimed album that reimagines classical compositions through Afro-Caribbean rhythms, with piano at its center. He has also worked as an arranger for artists such as Michael Bublé and John Legend and orchestrated Ben Folds’ Piano Concerto.
Horsley has collaborated with composer Anton Sanko as an orchestrator and conductor on films including Ouija, The Possession, and Rabbit Hole, starring Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. He also contributed additional music to National Geographic’s Great Migrations, which received a News & Documentary Emmy Award for music and sound.
A Steinway Artist, Horsley has built a diverse career combining classical music, contemporary performance, orchestration, and screen composition.
