Joely Richardson is an English actress, born on 9 January 1965 in Marylebone, London, England. She comes from a prominent acting family; she is the daughter of director Tony Richardson and actress Vanessa Redgrave, and the sister of actress Natasha Richardson.
Richardson began her screen career in the 1980s and gained recognition through films such as King Ralph (1991), Nip/Tuck (2003–2010), and The Patriot (2000). She also appeared in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), The Affair (2014–2019), and Red Sparrow (2018).
