John Manthrickal
Biography
John Manthrickal is an Indian screenwriter and director who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He is known for films such as Annmariya Kalippilanu (2016), Alamaara (2017), Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu (2019), Janamaithri (2019), and Rekhachithram (2025).
He made his directorial debut with Janamaithri (2019), a Malayalam comedy-drama starring Indrans, Saiju Kurup, Vijay Babu, and Sabumon Abdusamad. Manthrickal also wrote the screenplay for the film.
Before directing, he established himself as a screenwriter with Annmariya Kalippilanu (2016), followed by Alamaara (2017) and Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu (2019). He also contributed to 2403 Ft, while Rekhachithram (2025) credits him for the screenplay.
