Biography
Jonathan Wolff (born October 23, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA) is an American composer and musician best known for creating the distinctive theme music for the television sitcom Seinfeld (1989). He began his professional music career at a young age and moved to Los Angeles at 17 to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Over the years, he composed music for approximately 75 television series, including Will & Grace, Caroline in the City, Married... with Children, Who's the Boss?, The King of Queens, and Reba. His innovative use of slap-bass sounds and unusual vocal effects helped make the Seinfeld theme instantly recognisable. He retired from his Hollywood composing career in 2005.
