Joshua Patrick Inglis, born on March 4, 1995, in Leeds, England, is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman who has become an integral part of the Australian cricket team across all formats. After relocating to Perth, Western Australia, at the age of 14, Inglis honed his cricketing skills and rose through the ranks to represent Australia on the international stage. ​

 

Early Life and Domestic Career

Inglis began his professional cricket journey with Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. He made his first-class debut in December 2015 and his T20 debut in December 2017. A significant breakthrough came during the 2020–21 Sheffield Shield season, where he amassed 585 runs, including three centuries, showcasing his prowess with the bat.

 

His impressive performances caught the attention of international franchises. In 2021, he joined Leicestershire for the T20 Blast, scoring two centuries, and later played for London Spirit in The Hundred and the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket. In 2025, Inglis was signed by the Punjab Kings for the Indian Premier League.
