Jovan Adepo, born on September 6, 1988, in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, England, is a British-American actor who has steadily built a compelling career in film and television.
Adepo moved to the United States at the age of two and was raised in Waldorf, Maryland. He attended Bowie State University, where he earned a B.A. in political science and philosophy. Initially intending to become a writer, he transitioned into acting after taking commercial workshops in Los Angeles. He honed his skills by studying under various instructors, including at the Robey Theatre Company and the Actors Studio.
His career gained significant momentum with his feature film debut in the critically acclaimed period drama Fences (2016), where he played the son of Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. This role brought him considerable attention and award nominations.
