Biography
Joy Sengupta is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Bengali and Hindi film industries. He made his feature film debut with the 1998 Bollywood drama Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa and has since appeared in over 40 films in a career spanning close to two decades.
Some of the actor`s best-known works include 68 Pages (2007), Four Chapters (2008), the Bollywood erotic thriller Hate Story (2012), and Teenkahon (2014). He is also a seasoned stage and television actor and has appeared in shows like Waaris, Kucchh Pal Saath Tumhara, and Antaral.
Other significant film credits include Patalghar (2003), Sau Jhooth Ek Sach (2004), Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain (2014) and the 2017 Bengali drama Bilu Rakkhosh. His other releases include Bidaay Byomkesh, Bhalo Maye Kharap Maye A, Mar Artanad, Class of `83, and Ebhabei Golpo Hok.
