Biography
Joy Sunday is an American actress, producer, and director of Nigerian heritage, born in Staten Island, New York. She studied theatre at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School before graduating from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with an honors degree in Critical Studies.
She began her television career with an appearance in MacGyver and later appeared in Dear White People, Shithouse (2020), The Beta Test (2021), and Dog (2022).
Sunday gained widespread recognition for playing Bianca Barclay, a powerful siren and popular student at Nevermore Academy, in Netflix's Wednesday. Bianca initially rivals Wednesday Addams but gradually reveals a more vulnerable side. Sunday returned as Bianca for the show's second season.
Her later work includes the HBO limited series DTF St. Louis (2026), further expanding her career across television and film.
