Jung Kyu Choi
Biography
Jung Kyu Choi, also known as Choi Jung-kyu, is a South Korean television director. He is known for directing a range of Korean dramas across historical, romantic, crime, and supernatural genres.
Choi began his directing career with projects such as Horse Doctor and Two Weeks. He later directed The Flower in Prison (2016), Drinking Solo (2016), Children of Nobody (2018), and The Devil Judge (2021).
He also directed Soundtrack #2 (2023) and So Far So Close (2025). His recent work includes The East Palace (2026), a historical supernatural series featuring Nam Joo-hyuk and Roh Yoon-seo.
Known for working across different genres, Jung Kyu Choi has established a career in Korean television through visually distinctive dramas combining suspense, emotional storytelling, and strong character development.
