Jung So-min (정소민), born Kim Yoon-ji on March 16, 1989, is a well-regarded South Korean actress who has showcased her talents across a variety of roles in both television dramas and films.

Jung So-min pursued her passion for acting by majoring in acting at the Korea National University of Arts. Her dedication to her craft is evident in the diverse characters she has portrayed throughout her career.
Career Highlights:
Jung So-min made her official acting debut in 2010 with a supporting role in the SBS drama Bad Guy. This initial exposure quickly led to her first leading role in the MBC romantic comedy Playful Kiss (2010), an adaptation of the popular manga Itazura na Kiss. Although the drama had modest ratings in South Korea, it gained significant popularity overseas, contributing to Jung So-min's international recognition.
Following Playful Kiss, she took a brief hiatus to focus on her university studies before returning to the small screen in the sitcom Standby (2012). She continued to build her filmography with roles in dramas such as Can We Get Married? (2012), Miss Korea (2013, cameo), and Big Man (2014).
In 2017, Jung So-min starred in the popular KBS weekend drama My Father Is Strange, earning a nomination at the KBS Drama Awards for her performance. That same year, she also gained praise for her role in the critically acclaimed romance drama Because This Is My First Life.
Her versatility was further highlighted in the mystery drama The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (2018) and her role as a psychiatrist in the medical drama Soul Repairer (2020), for which she received another KBS Drama Awards nomination.
More recently, Jung So-min has starred in the romantic comedy Monthly Magazine Home (2021) and made a special appearance in My Roommate Is a Gumiho (2021). In 2022, she took on a lead role in the fantasy period drama Alchemy of Souls, portraying a skilled assassin whose soul is trapped in another's body. She made a cameo appearance in the second season of Alchemy of Souls. In 2024, she starred in the romantic comedy Love Next Door. On the film front, she recently starred in Love Reset (2023), winning the Best Actress award at the 44th Golden Cinematography Awards for her performance.
Beyond acting, Jung So-min also ventured into radio, hosting her show "Jung So-min's Young Street" on SBS Power FM in 2018, fulfilling a long-time dream.
