Jun Masumoto
Biography
Jun Masumoto is a Japanese producer and screenwriter known for his work in television and film. He served as a producer on the popular romantic drama Rich Man, Poor Woman (2012), working alongside Daisuke Sekiguchi.
He later became involved in Netflix's The Days (2023), which dramatizes the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster and the efforts to contain the crisis. His more recent work includes Frontline - Yokohama Bay (2025), a Japanese drama inspired by the COVID-19 outbreak aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Masumoto served as a planner, producer, and one of the screenwriters on the film.
Through his work across television and feature films, Masumoto has contributed to Japanese productions ranging from romantic dramas to stories based on major real-world events.
