Biography
Justin Varghese is an Indian music composer, music producer, and programmer who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. Born on 10 October 1983 in Kochi, Kerala, he began his career working in the music department before establishing himself as an independent composer.
He worked as an assistant to composer Bijibal for several years before making his independent debut as a music director with Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela (2017). He subsequently composed music for films including Thanneer Mathan Dinangal (2019), Joji (2021), Ajagajantharam (2021), Dear Friend (2022), Super Sharanya (2022), Palthu Janwar (2022) and Oru Thekkan Thallu Case (2022).
Justin Varghese has also worked on Hindi productions, contributing background music to Munjya (2024), Stree 2 (2024) and Sky Force (2025). His Malayalam credits include Chaver (2023), Christopher (2023), Ponman (2025), Daveed (2025) and Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira (2025).
His work is noted for combining melodic songwriting with distinctive background scores. He received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director (Background Music) for Joji, further establishing his reputation as one of the notable contemporary composers in Malayalam cinema.
