Biography

Kang Han-na (강한나) is a talented South Korean actress who has steadily built a diverse and compelling filmography since her debut. Born on January 30, 1989, in Seoul, South Korea, she pursued her passion for acting by obtaining both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Theater from Chung-Ang University. During her university years, she gained valuable experience by starring in numerous independent films, laying a solid foundation for her professional career.   

 

 

Kang made her official acting debut in 2013, landing roles in both film and television. She appeared in the movies Fasten Your Seatbelt and Friend: The Great Legacy, as well as the drama Miss Korea. This busy debut year signaled the beginning of a promising career.   

 

 

In the following years, Kang Han-na showcased her versatility by taking on a variety of roles. She gained initial recognition for her performances in the period film Empire of Lust (2015) and the drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), where she portrayed a memorable antagonist. Her role in Moon Lovers earned her nominations for Best New Actress at the SBS Drama Awards and the Baeksang Arts Awards, marking a significant step in her rising popularity.   

 

 

Continuing to build her career, Kang Han-na appeared in dramas such as Rain or Shine (2017), Familiar Wife (2018), and Designated Survivor: 60 Days (2019), demonstrating her ability to portray characters across different genres. In 2020, she took on a more prominent role in the popular drama Start-Up, further solidifying her presence in the K-drama landscape.   

 

 

More recently, she has garnered attention for her roles in My Roommate Is a Gumiho (2021) and the historical drama Bloody Heart (2022), where she received praise and won the Best Couple Award and Excellence Award for Actress in a Miniseries at the KBS Drama Awards for her performance alongside Lee Joon. In 2024, she starred in the romantic comedy Frankly Speaking.   

 

 

Beyond acting, Kang Han-na also showcased her engaging personality as a radio DJ for KBS Cool FM's "Volume Up" from 2020 to 2021, earning the New DJ of the Year Award at the 2020 KBS Entertainment Awards.
