Karan Deol
Biography
Karan Deol (born January 19, 1997) is an Indian actor and assistant director primarily known for his work in Hindi cinema. He is the son of actor and filmmaker Sunny Deol and the grandson of legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra, making him a part of one of Bollywood's most celebrated film families.
Career
Karan Deol made his acting debut with the romantic drama Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (2019), which was directed by his father, Sunny Deol. While the film marked his entry into Bollywood, it also showcased his efforts to step into the limelight as a performer.
He later appeared in Velle (2021), a comedy-drama that allowed him to explore a different genre and further establish his identity as an actor. Earlier in his career, Karan worked as an assistant director on Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013), gaining behind-the-scenes experience in filmmaking.
Personal Life
Karan Deol married Drisha Acharya on June 18, 2023. Drisha is the great-granddaughter of acclaimed filmmaker Bimal Roy, linking her to another iconic film family in Indian cinema. Their marriage was celebrated with great fanfare, and attended by family members, friends, and Bollywood celebrities.
