Keacy Uydess Carty, born on March 19, 1997, in Sint Maarten, is a right-handed batsman who has made significant strides in West Indies cricket. Notably, he is the first cricketer from Sint Maarten to represent the West Indies at the international level.

 

 

Early Life and Domestic Career

Carty began his cricketing journey with the Leeward Islands under-19s in 2013. He gained prominence during the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, where he played a pivotal role in the West Indies' triumph. In the final against India, Carty scored an unbeaten 52 runs off 125 balls, earning the Man of the Match award and leading his team to victory.

 

 

Following his youth success, Carty made his first-class debut for the Leeward Islands in February 2016. He showcased his potential by scoring a half-century in his second inning. In February 2021, he recorded his maiden List A century, an unbeaten 123 runs, during the Super50 Cup tournament.

 

 

International Career

Carty's consistent domestic performances led to his selection for the West Indies One Day International (ODI) squad in May 2022 for a series against the Netherlands and Pakistan. He made his ODI debut on May 31, 2022, against the Netherlands, scoring an unbeaten 43 runs to guide his team to victory.
