Biography
Kelly Jones is known for The Long Call (2021), Death in Paradise (2011), and Des (2020).
Kelly Jones is a writer for television, radio, and the stage. She developed and wrote the recent four-part ITV crime drama The Long Call.
Based on the novel by Ann Cleeves, the series stars Ben Aldridge and Juliet Stevenson. Other credits include the acclaimed ITV drama Des starring David Tennant, and BBC One crime thriller Baptiste.
Kelly has also written on The Spanish Princess, Call The Midwife, and Our Girl, and was previously a core writer on Casualty. Kelly is currently writing a three-parter for ITV about Ruth Ellis, the last woman executed in Britain.
She holds a Master's degree in English from Oxford University, where she specialized in Dickens and film adaptation and has studied screenwriting at the New York Film Academy.
