Biography

Kelly LeBrock is an American actress and former model who became one of the most recognizable faces of the 1980s. She is best known for her roles in The Woman in Red (1984), Weird Science (1985), and Hard to Kill (1990).

Early Life and Modeling Career

Kelly LeBrock was born on March 24, 1960, in New York City and was raised in London. She began modeling at the age of 16 and quickly became successful in the fashion industry. She worked with major brands, including Christian Dior, and appeared on numerous magazine covers.

She also became widely recognized as the face of Pantene shampoo through the famous advertising campaign that made her a major beauty icon of the 1980s.

Film Career

LeBrock made her acting debut in The Woman in Red (1984), starring alongside Gene Wilder. She played Charlotte, the beautiful woman who becomes the object of Wilder's character's fascination.

Her breakthrough came the following year with Weird Science (1985), directed by John Hughes. She portrayed Lisa, the idealized woman magically created by two socially awkward teenagers, played by Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith. The film became a cult favorite and remains her signature role.

Later Roles

LeBrock continued acting in films including Hard to Kill (1990), opposite Steven Seagal, Betrayal of the Dove (1993), Hard Bounty (1995), and Wrongfully Accused (1998). She also appeared in The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2001).

After stepping away from Hollywood for many years, she made occasional screen appearances, including the 2015 film A Prince for Christmas.

Personal Life

LeBrock was married to actor Steven Seagal from 1987 to 1996, and they have three children together. She later married Fred Steck in 2007.

In later years, LeBrock largely withdrew from Hollywood and embraced a quieter life away from the entertainment industry. She has lived on a ranch in California's Santa Ynez Valley, where she has focused on caring for animals and maintaining a private lifestyle.
