Ken Scott is a Canadian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor best known for his heartfelt comedies that blend humor with emotional depth. Born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1970, Scott developed a passion for storytelling early in life. He studied at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he began writing and performing, eventually launching a successful career in both television and film.

 

 

Scott started his career as a writer and performer on various Canadian television shows, gaining recognition for his sharp wit and creative storytelling. His transition to screenwriting marked a turning point, with his first major success coming from the French-language comedy Starbuck (2011). 

 

 

The film, which he also directed, told the story of a man who discovers he is the biological father of hundreds of children due to sperm donations made years earlier. Starbuck became a critical and commercial hit, earning multiple awards and international acclaim for its balance of humor and heart.

 

 

Following the success of Starbuck, Scott adapted the film for Hollywood as Delivery Man (2013), starring Vince Vaughn. He went on to direct other English-language comedies, including Unfinished Business (2015) and The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir (2018), showcasing his ability to craft uplifting, character-driven stories that resonate across cultures.
