Kevin Connolly

Biography

Kevin Connolly is an American actor and director, widely recognized for his role as Eric "E" Murphy on the HBO series Entourage (2004–2011). Born on March 5, 1974, in New York State, he began his career at age six, appearing in television commercials, including the "Betcha bite a chip" campaign for Chips Ahoy!

 

Connolly made his film debut in 1990 as Chickie in Rocky V. He gained further attention with roles in The Beverly Hillbillies (1993) and the sitcom Unhappily Ever After (1995–1999), where he played Ryan Malloy and directed several episodes. His portrayal of Eric Murphy in Entourage earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 2009. He reprised this role in the 2015 film adaptation of the series.

 

Beyond acting, Connolly has directed films such as Gardener of Eden (2007), Dear Eleanor (2016), and Gotti (2018), the latter starring John Travolta. He also directed the ESPN documentary Big Shot (2013), exploring a failed attempt to purchase the New York Islanders hockey team.

 

In his personal life, Connolly has a daughter with actress Zulay Henao, born in June 2021. ​
