Khurshid Anwar, born in 1922, was a prominent Pakistani composer and music director known for his exceptional contribution to the golden era of Pakistani cinema. His work spanned across the 1940s and 1950s, during which he became renowned for his melodious and timeless compositions. Anwar was one of the key figures in shaping the soundscape of Pakistani music and is particularly remembered for his work in film soundtracks.

 

Anwar started his career in the music industry with the film Khandaan (1942), and soon gained recognition for his ability to blend classical music with popular film tunes.
