Biography
Kim Hye-eun is a South Korean actress and television presenter, born on March 1, 1973, in Busan, South Korea. She began her career as a television announcer at MBC in 1997 before moving into acting, where she became known for portraying sophisticated, authoritative, and emotionally complex characters.
She made her acting debut in the late 1990s and gradually established herself through television dramas and films. Her notable dramas include A Thousand Days' Promise (2011), Secret Love Affair (2014), Misty (2018), Sky Castle (2018–2019), Itaewon Class (2020), and The World of the Married (2020).
Kim has also appeared in films such as The Face Reader (2013), The Throne (2015), The Mayor (2017), Default (2018), and The Housemaid (2010). Her performances frequently feature strong-willed characters who occupy influential positions within their families or society.
In May It Please the Court (2022), Kim Hye-eun portrayed Jang Ga-young, appearing alongside Jung Ryeo-won and Lee Kyu-hyung in the legal mystery series. The drama follows lawyers Noh Chak-hee and Jwa Si-baek as they become involved in a complex serial-murder investigation.
