Biography
Kim Jae-young is a South Korean actor and model, born on September 30, 1988, in South Korea. He began his career as a model before moving into acting and has been active in the entertainment industry since 2011.
He made early appearances in productions such as No Breathing (2013), Blade Man (2014), Hello Monster (2015), Black (2017), and 100 Days My Prince (2018). He later gained recognition through Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life (2019–2020), for which he won Best New Actor at the 2019 KBS Drama Awards.
Kim continued his television career with Reflection of You (2021) and Love in Contract (2022), in which he played the popular actor Kang Hae-jin. His other notable roles include Secret Boutique and My Lovely Journey (2025).
His breakthrough came with the fantasy legal drama The Judge from Hell (2024). He portrayed Han Da-on, a compassionate and perceptive detective who becomes involved with Kang Bit-na, a judge possessed by a demon. The series starred Park Shin-hye and Kim Jae-young and aired for 14 episodes on SBS.
Kim's performance as Han Da-on earned him the Best Actor award and Best Couple Award at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards.
