Biography
Kim Ji-yeon is a prominent South Korean producer and the founder of Siren Pictures, Inc., widely recognized for shaping some of the most successful works in Korean entertainment. She began her career in 2000 in the film marketing industry, where she gained extensive experience managing domestic marketing campaigns for Korean films. Her work later expanded into international sales, helping distribute Korean cinema to global audiences.
With a strong foundation in both domestic and international film business, Kim Ji-yeon launched her own production company in 2008. This move marked the beginning of her journey as a full-time producer, leading to a series of acclaimed projects across film, television, and documentaries.
Her production company earned widespread recognition for the historical feature The Fortress (2017), a critically acclaimed film produced in collaboration with CJ ENM. In 2021, she achieved global fame as the executive producer and producer of Squid Game, the groundbreaking Netflix series that became the most-watched show in television history and a worldwide cultural phenomenon.
