Kim Rossi Stuart

Biography

Kim Rossi Stuart, born on October 31, 1969, in Rome, Italy, is an acclaimed Italian actor, director, and screenwriter. Coming from a family of actors, he began acting at the age of five and later pursued theatre studies. He became a familiar face in Italian cinema and television during the 1980s and gained early popularity through Karate Warrior and the Fantaghirò television series.

Rossi Stuart established himself as a serious dramatic actor with performances in No Skin (1994), Beyond the Clouds (1995), The Keys to the House (2004), and Crime Novel (2005). His role as Freddo in Crime Novel was particularly notable, while his performance in Everything's Gonna Be Alright (2020) earned him the Nastro d'Argento and Globo d'oro for Best Actor.

He also developed a career behind the camera. His directorial debut, Along the Ridge (2006), earned recognition for its sensitive portrayal of a troubled father and son. He later directed and starred in Tommaso (2016) and Brado (2022), also contributing to their screenplays.

His other notable acting credits include Piano, Solo (2007), Angel of Evil (2010), Wondrous Boccaccio (2015), The Best Years (2020), and Everybody Loves Diamonds (2023), in which he played master thief Leonardo Notarbartolo. He also portrayed Don Fabrizio Corbera in the 2025 television miniseries The Leopard.
