Biography

Kim Tae-woo (born April 15, 1971) is a South Korean actor who rose to prominence after appearing in the blockbuster war film Joint Security Area. He later became widely recognized for his leading roles in arthouse cinema, particularly in collaborations with director Hong Sang-soo, including Woman Is the Future of Man, Woman on the Beach, and Like You Know It All.

 

 

In 2026, he took on a supporting role in the SBS fantasy romantic-comedy No Tail to Tell, where he portrayed Jang Do-cheol—a local troublemaker who secretly works as a shaman—acting alongside Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon.
