Kim Young Ho
Biography
Kim Young-ho, born in 1970, is a South Korean cinematographer known for his work across period dramas, action films, science fiction, comedy, and contemporary cinema. He is recognized for introducing advanced filming techniques and Hollywood equipment to Korean productions, helping create a distinctive and stylish visual approach.
Throughout his career, Kim has collaborated with acclaimed directors including Kim Sung-su, Kang Je-gyu, Kim Yong-hwa, and Park Hoon-jung. His long-running collaboration with Park Hoon-jung includes The Showdown (2011), V.I.P. (2017), and The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion (2018), Night in Paradise (2021), and The Witch: Part 2. The Other One (2022), and The Tyrant (2024).
Among his other notable credits are Tidal Wave (2009) and The Battle: Roar to Victory (2019). Through his innovative visual techniques and diverse body of work, Kim Young-ho has become a respected cinematographer in South Korean cinema.
