Biography

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi is an Indian film director and screenwriter, primarily known for her work in Tamil cinema. She is the daughter-in-law of renowned politician and actor M. K. Stalin, as well as the wife of actor and producer Udhayanidhi Stalin. Kiruthiga was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and holds a strong background in filmmaking, having developed a keen interest in storytelling and cinema from a young age.

Career: 

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi made her directorial debut with the Tamil film Vanakkam Chennai (2013), a romantic comedy that garnered attention for its fresh take on love and relationships. Her direction was praised for its engaging narrative and the way it captured the urban backdrop of Chennai. The film featured actors like Shiva and Priya Anand, and it became a moderate success at the box office.

Her second directorial venture, Kaali (2018), saw her exploring action-drama territory, with actor Vijay Antony in the lead role.
