KL Rahul was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, to KN Lokesh and Rajeshwari. His father, KN Lokesh, is a former professor, and his mother is a homemaker. Rahul's interest in cricket began at a young age, and he soon displayed promise as a young athlete.
