Biography

Kodi Ramakrishna was born on July 23, 1949, in Palakollu, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He began his career in the film industry as an associate director to Dasari Narayana Rao in the 1979 film Korikale Gurralaite. Ramakrishna made his directorial debut with the 1982 Telugu film Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya, starring Chiranjeevi

Over the next four decades, he directed over 100 films across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. His work spanned various genres, including family dramas, action thrillers, and supernatural fantasies.

Gudachari No.1 (1983): A spy thriller starring Chiranjeevi, which was among the early Telugu films to adopt the spy genre.
